The main public parking near Tesco Express is the Hazelgrove Car Park (RH16 3QY), located directly on St Joseph’s Way. It is a 118-space pay-and-display lot with disabled bays, height restrictions of 7′ 2″, and electric charging.

Same prices and times as St Wilfrids Way.

This car park also contains the public toilets.

Getting Here by Train

The Orchards Shopping Centre is approximately 0.8 to 1 mile south of Haywards Heath train station, roughly a 15-20 minute walk or a short bus/taxi ride. Exit the station, take South Road towards the town centre, and the shopping centre will be on the right.

WAYS TO TRAVEL FROM HAYWARDS HEATH STATION TO THE ORCHARDS:

  • Walking (approx. 16-20 mins): Exit the station and head south towards the town centre (South Road). The Orchards is located in the heart of the town.
  • Bus (approx. 5-10 mins): Several bus services (including routes 3, 30, 31, 31A, and 31C) run from the station area to South Road, which is within 150 meters of the centre.
  • Taxi (approx. 5 mins): A taxi rank is conveniently located directly outside the main entrance of the station.

The station has step-free access and is served by Southern, Thameslink, and Grand Central trains.

Public toilets are located within the car park, also operated by Mid Sussex District Council.

Accessibility

We offer good accessibility throughout the centre, with step-free access, automatic doors in main stores like Marks & Spencer, and designated disabled parking. The car park as mentioned above also provides accessible public toilets.
